[In truth, Medea had been worried about her... Oryou still seemed melancholy and dispirited, since her partner disappeared. This was definitely her fussing! She just hoped she could cheer her up a little.
...As she sat down on the sofa to wait for her reply, she gathered up her little skeletal dragon familiar in her arms to think, ears twitching as it thoughtfully nudged her cheek.]
Are you worried about Oryou too, Little One? ...To be honest, I am not sure she's doing well, by herself.
[It wasn't the first time the thought of inviting Oryou to stay with them came to mind. Her cottage was small, and in one of the colder districts, but it was cozy enough... and she had absent-mindedly brought extra blankets for the place when she went shopping in the sales.
Besides, for all Medea's quirks, she got lonely easily as well. Being alone got under her skin a little too quickly.]
Oryou will come over. She likes spending time with you, especially when there's food.
[Truthfully, Oryou is still suffering from acute loneliness. The house she and Ryouma got while he was briefly here is too large for her alone. Before she would have spent half her time bothering Nenonen and less of it on her own, but now...
Sometimes taking a nap at the bottom of the ocean sounds appealing.]
[Definitely giving her a squeeze. Yes, she was still downcast, wasn't she? That wasn't a good sign...]
Oryou... you look exhausted.
[Mentally, more so than physically. That bone-deep exhaustion of fighting for one's happiness, of having it torn away at every turn- of being left alone in a far-off land. That was something she knew very well.
Medea tried to fight back the little voice in the back of her mind telling her how terrible she was at this. That arson and murder and bloodshed were easy, but providing comfort...was she really someone who could do that?
The Little One scampered over to join them, butting its little nose at Oryou's leg in its own attempt at comfort- it was only about the size of a house-cat, so couldn't reach much past her ankle when she floated.]
...they demand we save their worlds, yet they think nothing of ripping us from our happiness and tearing away our loved ones. That is always the way of things like this- I hate it, too.
[An old bitterness rippling through her- a loneliness of her own.]
Come, join me on the sofa for a little bit? The frog's legs need a little bit longer to marinade before I can cook them.
[Warm blankets and cuddles, hopefully that would help.
One more nudge with it's nose, and the Little One rushed over and jumped on the sofa to demonstrate, pawing lightly at the blankets. See? Nice and warm here!]
[Oryou detaches from Caster to go float over to the couch and make herself comfortable, idly petting the little skeleton creature. Not exactly soft, but still very cute.]
[She hadn't been expecting an answer like that- after all, she was accustomed to being abandoned, eventually. Once she had been exploited for her magic, or once others had grown horrified of the darkness of her magic.
So, for her company to be a source of warmth. Something wanted. That was... unusual, even now. Caster squeezed her shoulder again.]
Of course. In fact, I insist on it.
...At least until we can finally go back to our husbands, we should look after one another, don't you think?

Oryou ;;
[Phew, she was coming over after all, and the message made the witch smile a little. Right, time to clear things up ready...!
By the time Oryou came over, she'd largely finished tidying up the place, opening the door as soon as she sensed her presence nearby.]
Oryou~ Do come in. It is good to see you.
[And once she's inside, she's being offered a warm hug.]

She doesn't look as abjectly miserable as she did the past couple of times Caster's seen her, but she still looks melancholy at best.]
You're warm.

[No point in denying it, if it's that obvious. Besides, Oryou isn't usually one to hide her feelings anyway.]
Oryou still has some friends in Ellipsa, but... she's been lonely.

Caster, meanwhile, floated over to the sofa, sitting by Oryou and draping a comfortable blanket around both her shoulders.]
There we are- ...are you warm enough? I know this district gets a little cold, but I try to keep the place comfortable.
[The trials of living in Coldreach...]

[The blankets do help, but she'd much rather cuddle up to Caster and bask in her body heat.]
no subject
Is that better?
...Oryou, you can stay here as long as you want to. You know that, don't you?
[Shoulder squeeze.]

Oryou can? Even if Oryou doesn't want to leave at all?

Oryou's staying then. You can't take it back now.
no subject
I wouldn't dream of taking it back~ Besides, the Little One seems to like your company, too.

Oryou can bring over her belongings.

Please do. ...Ah, you don't mind sharing the bed until I can expand the house a little more, do you?

Oh no there was only one bed.]no subject
